Hiring a Maintenance Administrator in Halifax!

The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) is recruiting to fill a full-time position (35 hours/week) as Maintenance Administrator. The candidate will be working at a Halifax office. Some travel to clients’ sites required.

General duties include:

  • Work Order administration for over 350 units

  • Liaise with trades, clients and other personnel

  • Monitor work in progress

  • Execution and records keeping of the scheduled building maintenance

  • Assist the Maintenance Coordinator with preventive maintenance planning

  • Keep the Housing Coordinator informed of the status of all work orders in a system as directed by Maintenance Co-ordinator

  • Perform unit inspections at the request of Network clients, using the Network licensed inspection software

General requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and maintain facilities knowledge of co-op or nonprofit housing

  • Ability to work in a team and desire to help others

  • Knowledge of the Windows Office programs Outlook, Excel and Word

  • Excellent time management skills to complete a variety of tasks

  • Ability to interpret maintenance instructions, manuals, safety rules, and other documents

  • Reliable vehicle
