Hiring: Housing Administrator (Oakville, ON)

The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) is recruiting to fill a part-time position (20 hours per week) as an on-site Housing Administrator in Oakville, ON.

Reporting to The Housing Co-ordinator, the Administrator will be assigned to a co-operative site to provide day-to-day on-site services to the co-operative’s members and its board of directors, working on-site at the co-operative. The Housing Administrator is a resource person to the Housing Co-ordinator, Board of Directors, committees, and the general membership. An important overall function of this position is client service.

Who we are:

The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) was established in 2009 to fill property management service gaps in the co-operative and non-profit housing sector. We provide services to co-operatives to suit their individual needs. We work closely with the Board of Directors and the membership to ensure the co-op’s goals are met on a daily, monthly and annual basis.

Our services focus on managing the finances, meeting legal requirements, working with maintenance staff to keep properties in good repair, keeping units full and supporting good governance.

Wage:

$20 - 23/hour depending on experience. This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week.

The successful applicant will:

  • ✓ have a general knowledge of co-op housing

  • ✓ have excellent telephone and reception skills

  • ✓ have excellent interpersonal skills

  • ✓ have effective oral and written communication skills

  • ✓ be able to organize tasks and priorities

  • ✓ be able to work as part of a team

  • ✓ have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • ✓ have experience working with volunteers and a board of directors

Some travel and evening work will be required. The Network offers a competitive remuneration package.
